New Los Angeles City aka Neo Milwaukee (usually abbreviated as NLACakaNM; sometimes referred to as Slime City) is the city in which the Endless War takes place and the eponymous eldritch obelisk stands unmoving.

Lore

The city, located next to the Grand Canyon, was founded as a result of the canyon's flooding with nuclear waste, also known as Slime, which obviously proved to be an incredibly valuable resource. This led to the great Slime Rush, in which millions of early Slime adopters flocked to the edge of the Grand Canyon where a large amount of Slime had pooled and was ripe for the taking. These early Slime enthusiasts would soon found NLACakaNM, and soon after Slimecorp would move its corporate headquarters there. This inextricable connection to Slime led to its nickname 'Slime City' which was its first name. Afterwards (in the same video in which the name Slime City was coined) Ben came up with the name Neo Milwaukee and Munchy with the name New Los Angeles City. In the end, they decided to just combine them into the unnecessarily long name the city is now burdened with. I guess you can just call it by its totally easy to pronounce acronym NLACakaNM (or, if you don't wanna sound like you're talking about a Lovecraftian god, you could just say Neo Milwaukee or New Los Angeles (City) individually).

The city size is 10km^2, a.k.a. really fucking small

Behavior

NLACakaNM is divided into 33 districts, each district is divided into streets, and each street may contain a number of sub-zones. Districts have a "neutral zone" in the middle and operate in a window system, allowing you to see sub-zones either from said neutral zone or the streets leading to the sub-zone. All locations have flavor text that can be viewed with !look, which also lists a vague quantity of !scavengeable slime, time, weather, surrounding regions and sub-zones. Adjacent regions may be !scouted to estimate their danger.

Streets are very dangerous locations, as all player-versus-player combat and district capturing takes place in them. While in the past earning slime in any way would flag you for combat and allow gangsters to walk up to you and gank you, now people may wait for unsuspecting players to walk to subzones, pursue them to the streets, and attack them in the short combat window. Sub-zones themselves are generally safe with the exception of important zones like subway stations.

Transportation

NLACakaNM citizens primarily walk from place to place at a terrifyingly fast pace with !goto [location], where [location] can be a district, street, or sub-zones's name or valid alias (e.g dt for Downtown NLACakaNM.) It takes about 1 minute to walk between districts' neutral zones and 30 seconds to walk between streets and sub-zones, influenced by mutations and your speed stat. Players prioritize walking between neutral zones whenever possible, only traversing the streets when specifically commanded to or when walking to a sub-zone.

In addition, many key locations have subway stations. Stations, like streets, flag anyone in them for combat but can offer a much quicker route than walking to a lot of locations that matter. There is also a blimp between Dreadford and Assault Flats Beach, as well as a ferry between Wreckington and Vagrant's Corner. All three of these transportation methods use !board instead of !goto. If for some reason there's more than one train docked at a station, a specific train can be boarded with !board [color]to[target] (e.g pinktocratersville).

Apartments

All districts (except Juvie's Row, Rowdy Roughhouse, and Cop Killtown) have apartment towers where players may rent their own apartments. All apartment consulting takes place at the Real Estate Agency in Old New Yonkers. Each district has a specific "property class" (S, A, B, or C) that affects the cost of rent. Plus, they can be upgraded to provide more room for your belongings, at the cost of much higher rent.

Apartments are useful for preserving food and storing items so they can't be dropped. They can also be decorated with furniture bought from the Bazaar. However, apartments automatically take slimecoin out of your pocket for rent every two real-life days; if you don't have enough for rent, you will be evicted and all of your items will be thrown to the streets for anyone to scavenge.
