Smelting

Smelting is a gameplay mechanic allowing players to craft new items from generic item pools (such as specific cosmetic groups) or specific outcomes. Crafting materials are gained from shops such as Based Hardware and mechanics like bartering, milling and hunting.

Items can be smelted with the !smelt [item name or shortened name] command. Trying to smelt an item without the required ingredients will make ENDLESS WAR list the item's recipe and the items the player is missing.

In addition to milling, crop items can be !crushed (or !crunched) to create one of five cosmetic materials depending on the crop in question. Crops can be crunched even after rotting.

• Crushing Suganma Nuts, Joybeans, Pink Rowddishes, or Purple Killiflowers will produce Cute Buttons.
• Crushing Steel Beans, Dire Apples, Brightshade, or Razornuts will produce Cool Beans.
• Crushing Aushucks, Poketubers, Dankwheat, or Black Limes will produce Beauty Spots.
• Crushing Rustea Leaves, Phosphorpoppies, Pawpaw, or Sludgeberries will produce Smart Cookies.
• Crushing Metallicaps, Sour Potatoes, Blood Cabbages, or Pulp Gourds will produce Tough Nails.
