"Hanging out on this radioactive beach. I gotta keep moving though, because I don't have a hazmat suit. Strangely these toxic fumes smell like something... Something suprising and truly vile. I think the best word to describe it would be... Hmmm... Masculine. Yes. Very very masculine. I will leave this toxic masculinity for now and ignore the giant field of gaming PCs I see off in the distance. I'll choke if I stay any longer."

Channel Description

Quiet residential neighborhood, continually choked with acidic vapors from the nearby slime reservoir.

!Look Message

You cover your mouth in a futile attempt to avoid breathing in the toxins rising from the nearby lakes and mineshafts. A thick fog of this foul-smelling, poisonous gas shrouds the entire district, making the land virtually uninhabitable. But, where there’s slime, people will settle. Juveniles from across the city are happy to spend their short lives in this hellhole for a chance to strike it rich.

Toxington has no redeemable aspects, outside of its abundance of slime veins underground and its lovely fishing spots above.

Streets

Gravel Mounds

"It may not look like much, but for miles below the ground here there are huge slime reserves, just begging to be mined. And so, people have dug extensive underground networks of mineshafts to haul as much slime out as possible. There’s only one problem: This is Toxington. The underground of this district is filled with toxic gas that’s lethal given prolonged exposure. Of course, that hasn’t stopped slime-crazed lunatics from mining as much as they can. The mineshaft network is extensives, but all of the lines are narrow, so you’re sure to step over a few cadavers on your way down to the exposed veins. Don’t feel too bad for them, chances are they’ve just been spit out of ENDLESS WAR and are on their way back right now."

Cyanide Swamp

"This hot, wet marsh used to be the coolest, newest spot to mine slime in Toxington. The area was particularly well known for its abundance of poudrins. However, after most of the miners began turning up empty handed after mining for weeks on end, there was a shift from trying to extract as many poudrins as possible to trying to get as much slime as possible from the poudrins you got. See, crushing poudrins ain’t a science, it’s an art. When just crushing it with your bare hands, inevitably some of the poudrin doesn’t get converted into slime and is therefore wasted. Some clever miners found out that you could combine cyanide with a water mixture and when you submerged a poudrin into it, you’d be able to strain it all and wind up with a particularly well concentrated distillation of pure slime-- perfect for crushing. Well, this was so popular that the leftover sludge mixture began to pile up and up until its containment unit broke and flooded all the shafts in the region with its goopy innards. All of the bogs you see around you were once profitable mineshafts."

Quarantined Zones

"Here’s some food for thought. What would a residential zone look like in a place filled entirely with toxic gases? Well good news, you’re standing in one! Being closest to Toxington’s deadly gas deposits, the homes here have long since been abandoned, still full of the rotting food and corroded appliances their original owners had. You may think to yourself, staring into the dark green hazy sky and breathing in more cyanide, that you could live in one of these places. Well, you could, if you had more than 6 seconds to live."

Carcinogenic Quarry

"This old mining complex isn’t used that often anymore, despite large deposits of slime still lurking in the shafts below. After an initial burst of attention in the area, it was quickly discovered that the entire area is perhaps the single most irradiated area in the city, besides of course the site of the old reactor in Little Chernobyl. That isn’t to say a little fear of death stopped anyone from mining slime, but the sheer concentration of radiation here made it hard to even get to the slime veins in the first place before croaking. Plus, with the gravel mounds just a hop, skip, and a jump away, who needs to waste time making razor thin profit margins here when they can throw their lives away in shafts where they’ll actually make some real slime."

Geyser Springs

"It’s hard to miss the plumes of molten, toxic sludge spewing into the air every fifteen seconds, but still, watch your step. If you fall into one of these things, you’re toast. If you’re not instantly cooked through, then you’ll be eaten alive by some of the terrifying creatures that have evolved to withstand the inhospitable conditions. A few morons have built piers over the calmer springs in an attempt to wrangle some of those aforementioned beasts, and it usually goes as well as you would expect."
